“Matthew and Rose’s Lokilani is a winner. The location is good in that you’re 5 miles out of Waimea for all the amenities of a small town environment...groceries, restaurants, banking, miscellaneous shopping venues etc. There’s a pretty spectacularly scenic mountain road heading north toward the Kohala coastal area. And then heading west, in about another 5 miles, you’re at the coast with several great beaches etc running north and south. The property itself is totally off the beaten path, very relaxing and at 1700 feet above sea level, the climate is cooler and not as oppressively hot as the lower elevations would tend to be. At night it’s a great area to take a long walk under an amazing canopy of stars. Matthew knows how to design and build things and that came clear as we surveyed the confines. Wood joinery, construction layout, finish work. Overall this place was so comfortable and inviting, we hated to leave. ”
